Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Grab the whole family and check out the 10th Anniversary San Francisco Green Festival this weekend, November 12-13th at the San Francisco Concourse Exhibition Center.
The festival includes presentations given by more than 125 leaders, authors and thinkers who are active in the green movement. Speakers this year include Amy Goodman, John Perkins, Francis Moore Lappe, Rev. Lennox Yearwood and many more. Sierra Club partnered with Green Festival on a new feature – Sierra Club Presents: Green Cinema video screenings of eco-shorts and trailers.
From educational DIY how-to workshops, book signings, green job hunting, to activities for children and delicious organic food, beer and wine, the San Francisco Green Festival will truly offer something for everyone to enjoy. Entertainment is a vital component of the festivities, including live music and dance. Visit the Green Kids’ Zone for fun crafts, stories and more. There will also be a marketplace offering goods for sale from hundreds of local and national eco-conscious businesses and organizations and you can also test drive a hybrid or electric vehicle.
Sierra Club members get in free. For more information, please visit www.greenfestivals.org.
