Be a part of International Women's Day Virtual Festival 2010!
This March Her Circle Ezine will host it's second International Women's Day Virtual Festival, bringing together women writers and artists from around the globe. We have several ways for publishers and authors to get involved, including participation in the The One World Cafe Virtual Reading Series, author interviews, book reviews, and our popular Writing Life Blog.
One World Cafe Virtual Reading Series
The One World Cafe Virtual Reading Series is just one of the exciting events returning this year, featuring recorded readings of original works by women poets and authors. We are currently accepting written submissions (audio is submitted later) of poetry, short fiction, and novel excerpts for consideration. While there is no limit to the length of submissions, the final recorded audio should not exceed 20 minutes and material should be selected accordingly. Make your submission via email to events@hercircleezine.com no later than January 31st to be considered for the International Women's Day event. Submissions received after this date will be considered for future readings. If selected for a virtual reading, authors will be asked to produce a simple mp3 audio file of their work for the event.
Reviews & Interview Opportunities
Her Circle will continue to publish book reviews and welcomes submissions of current and forthcoming releases for consideration. We accept books from emerging and established authors, with a preference for works favoring a social and political awareness. Review copies must be received by January 31st to be considered for the International Women's Day event. If received after this date the title will be considered for review in a future review section. Mail to: Books Editor, Her Circle Ezine, 335 Cherry, Wyandotte, MI 48192.
Interview opportunities are also available to authors promoting a current or forthcoming title release. Please query editor@hercircleezine.com for further details.
